Picots!

One of my favorite edges to apply to the outer edges of my crochet owls or cloths is Picots.  The picture below illustrates better.
Picots are easy to make. Following is a few you can try to finish edges. 
Picot #1
*Chain 3, slip stitch in the same stitch, slip stitch in the next stitch* Repeat from * to* along edge.
 
Picot #2
  *Chain 3, work 1 half double crochet on the third chain from the hook,  work 1 single crochet in the same stitch, slip stitch in the next stitch*  Repeat from *to* along edge.
Picot #3
*Chain 1, work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, *(slip stich in the next stitch, chain 3, slip stitch in the same stitch, work 1 single crochet in the next stitch* Repeat from *to*
Picot #4
 *Chain 3, work 1 single crochet on the third chain from the hook, skip 1 single crochet, slip stitch on the next stitch.* Repeat from *to*.
